At the end of March, receipts are counted and money is donated to The LAB! Help out the LAB by shopping at Kowalski's!

Meet Our Volunteers Who Have Answered the Call!
Volunteers are a crucial element to the amazing things that go on at The Lab. Since September, The Lab has welcomed 52 community volunteers from a variety of backgrounds who have answered the call to volunteerism at The Lab. We are grateful that they found us, and that they are are willing to share their unique talents.
Volunteer Hours Contributed Thus Far:
- September - December, 2008 = 230 Hours
- January - March 6th, 2009 = 250 Hours
- Average Hours Logged Each Week = 12 Hour Weekly
It is through the time, dedication and philanthropic spirit of our volunteers that The Lab is able to continue working with youth to inspire, empower and encourage them to share their voices and the truth of their lives.

The Lab Supports River East Reading Achievement!
With temptations of video games, cable TV and the Internet lurking around every corner, it is no wonder that for many students, books have become a guilty pleasure of the past. While Facebook, YouTube and Xbox seem to be in high demand for kids of all ages, this is not the case for the River East Day Treatment 5th and 6th graders in Mr. Ayers’s classroom.
